IDG Business Forum 2026

Two days for leaders serious about inner change and outer impact

14–15 September 2026 | Djurönäset, Stockholm Archipelago

Are you ready to lead at the threshold?

The IDG Business Forum brings together senior leaders from business, research, and civil society who share one thing: a growing sense that the way we have been leading is not sufficient for the complexity we are now facing.

We are the first generation with the potential to see the full consequences of the models we inherited. The complexity is visible. The stakes are clear. And refining what already exists, however skilfully, will not be sufficient.

The way we are solving problems is the problem - Erik Fernholm

The leaders shaping tomorrow’s organisations need more than new strategies. We need new ways of thinking, relating, and making decisions under conditions that none of our existing frameworks were built for.

Inner development is not a retreat from the hard work of leadership. It is the work.

After years of IDG Summits, we know what shifts when the right people are in the room. This forum is built for those who want to carry that further, inside the organisations and sectors where it matters most.

We have built two days of serious peer-level conversation about what leading well actually demands right now. No keynotes designed to impress and no solutions pitched from a stage. We are not here because we have the answers. We are here because we are willing to hold the questions together, and at depth.

This forum is for:

  • Senior leaders, researchers, and change agents who carry real responsibility and are serious about what inner development demands of them in practice.
  • People working across sectors who want to think together about cross-organisational approaches to problems that no single organisation can solve alone.
  • Investors, policymakers, and educators who shape the conditions in which organisations operate and who recognise that those conditions need to change.
  • Founders and emerging leaders who are building organisations from the ground up and want to do it differently from the start.

Date: 14th & 15th September 2026
Location: Djuronaset, Stockholm, Sweden
Hosts: IDG, Mobius Faculty & WBCSD
Capacity: 40 senior leaders & change agents

The Journey

Two days on the Stockholm Archipelago with space for a diversity of voices, meaningful dialogue, and participant-shaped conversations. A mix of plenary sessions, participant-hosted breakouts, and large group dialogue.

The Destination

Conversations that would not happen in any other setting. Cross-organisational relationships that continue working after the forum ends. Grounded ideas with real-world applications. A clearer sense of what leading well demands of you, right now. And a genuine feeling of being nourished rather than depleted by two days of serious work.

Examples of what we will explore together

  • How do we build organisations that can hold the tension between short-term pressure and long-term purpose?
  • How do we support the kind of transformation that makes us more fit for the complexity we are facing?
  • What would it take, across sectors, to become the change-makers this transformation actually needs?
  • What does genuine resilience look like when things are not going well, not as a framework, but as a lived practice?
  • What stops us from acting on what we already know, and what would help us close that gap?

About the IDG Business Coalition

The Coalition supports organisations in developing the inner and relational capacities needed to lead in complexity, strengthen collaboration across sectors, and integrate inner development as a core capability for innovation, resilience and long-term value creation.

Through leadership labs, peer learning, and partner-driven forums, we develop the inner and relational capacities needed to lead well in a world that demands something new of us.

About Inner Development Goals

The Inner Development Goals are a research-based guide for the inner and relational capacities that leadership in complexity requires.

The work rests on a straightforward premise: the quality of our outer results is shaped by the quality of our inner development.

What started as an open research initiative has grown into a global movement, with a network of practitioners, researchers, and organisations putting the IDG Guide to work across more than fifty countries.
