We work in four main areas: capacity development, movement building, institutionalisation and research co-creation around the globe.

Capacity Development

Through work of the Global Leadership for Sustainable Development (GLSD) capacity-building programme and emerging IDG Country Centres, the IDG Initiative empowers staff across the public and private sectors, academia and civil society to integrate the IDG Framework into strategies, policies, activities and operations.

Although the primary stakeholders working with IDG are companies, NGOs, governments and academic institutions, the advocacy work of IDG extends beyond these entities through enabling and supporting the use of the Framework among the self-organised Hubs & Networks. By fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose around developing the IDG Skills, IDG Hubs & Networks serve as catalysts for change at the grassroots level. Through these glocal connections, the movement gains momentum, transcending traditional boundaries and engaging a broader spectrum of changemakers committed to inner development for societal progress.
